Photo 2
I was taking some pictures of my cute little neice. (Trying out my lights again.) The first picture is cute...but its just a normal picture of a cute little girl smiling. So I waited for a moment when someone in the room made her laugh really big and I caught that expression (Photo 2) which made for a much more intersting photo.
Then to add a little bit more interest to the photo, I added some flower petals through the magic of PhotoShop. (I took a picture of the petals and then added them in layers to the photo. I put a blur on some of the layers to make it appear as though they are farther away.)
Both photos were taken with the following settings:
Shutter: 1/160
ISO: 500
Apeture: f/5
I love (especially the second...) photo of your niece. It is very cool when your model forgets for a moment that h/she is posing.
