I was practicing with light and wanted to capture movement at the same time. This photo was taken in my kitchen (which has a ton of windows) after dark with the lights off so I was using my computer monitor and my speed light to add light to the image. I had to dial my speed light down so it didn't overwhelm the image with light. I took almost a hundred different shots this was #26. I was using a tripod since the shutter speed was slow to capture the light. I had to pore water on the apple several times through out our "shoot."
I love this picture. I love the colors. The apple looks crisp and I must say delicious! I love the background coloring as I think it is a nice contrast in colors.
